River City Fashion

Who Are We?

River City Fashion is a student-led print and online publication that serves as the focal point for all things fashion, beauty, and lifestyle at VCU and beyond. We are dedicated to representing all faces, bodies, and backgrounds through quality storytelling and the art of dress

Who Are We?

At River City Fashion, we speak to our college-aged community (and beyond) about what it means to come of age—exploring identity, self-expression, fashion trends, culture, and the psychology behind the art of dress.

Our new Issue !

RCF isn’t just a magazine, it’s a creative outlet. Student-led and student-run, we are a platform for student creatives to build their portfolios, collaborate with peers, and transform ideas into projects they can be proud of. Since 2024, RCF has published an annual print issue every spring, bringing our work off the screen and into your hands.

Our new Issue !

River City Fashion was founded in 2011 as an online fashion blog by current VCUarts advanced draping professor Amanda Campbell. It has since evolved into an online and physical publication that releases one print magazine annually. In spring 2026, we released our third print edition, “The Fake ID,” an exploration of coming of age, with the help of our highly talented team and Student Media Center staff members. We are incredibly proud of the continued innovation and spectacular creativity of each contributor. RCF is a fun, welcoming, and supportive organization for all student creatives, and we are always looking for new members to join any part of our production. Whether you’re interested in writing, photography, modeling, hair/makeup artistry, or any other creative contribution, there’s a place for you! Keep an eye out for our latest content and upcoming events by following @rivercfashion on Instagram.

We aim to make you feel seen. To make you ask questions and to encourage you to look deeper into the world of social media perfection and polyester around you. To experiment. To get involved.
